ATTENDANCE

  • How many times can I miss class?
    • Absences cannot exceed 30% of the school hours, unless they are justified (see regulations for justified absences.)
    • Hours count, not days.
    • In the first trimester an attendance control will be carried out to recover the vacancies of those students with more than 14 unjustified hours (6 hours for blended courses.) It will take place between the beginning of the course and 14th November (see regulations).
  • How will I know if I have exceeded the number of permitted absences?
    • By checking it in the User Area of our website.
    • By downloading the school’s APP on your mobile: Centrosnet. There you will have the information.
  • What should I do if I have exceeded the number of absences?
    • If the absences are justified, present the corresponding absence notes to the Administration, within the deadlines established by the centre. See regulations.
  • Can I still attend class if I exceed the number of absences?
    • During the present course you will be able to continue attending classes, unless you have been expelled in November. You will be allowed to take the exam.
  • What if I can’t justify the absences?
    • You lose your official status and if you want to re-enrol you will have to pre-register.

RESCHEDULES

  • I can’t attend classes at the schedule I’m enrolled in. What can I do?
  • What can I do if I’m a shift worker?
    • Discuss it with your teacher, he/she’ll help you find a new time slot.
    • If there is room in another group, you can go to class in two different groups. You don’t need to reschedule.

ASSESSMENT

  • How will I be assessed?
    • In levels with a certified final test there will be continuous assessment. However, to pass the course you will also have to pass a final test.
      • A1 y A: continuous assessment.
      • B1: final test.
      • B2:
        • B2.1: continuous assessment.
        • B2.2: final test.
      • C1: final test.
      • C2.1 (English): continuous assessment.
      • C2.2: final test.
  • How does continuous assessment work?
    • It’s based on assignments, tests, class participation, mid-term exams… All this helps the teacher to evaluate your written and oral progress throughout the course.
    • At the beginning of the course your teacher will explain the continuous assessment criteria.
  • What should I do if I don’t pass the continuous assessment?
    • If the teacher does not have enough information to implement the continuous assessment (either because you have not attended class regularly, or because you have not done the scheduled assignments, tests…), you must take a remedial exam.
  • What’s the exam going to be like?
    • Your teacher will provide you with the information at the beginning of the course (this may vary according to the level or language.)
    • You can find out more about it on this website. You have sample exams at your disposal.
  • How can I get information about the objectives and contents of the course?
  • What information will I get throughout the course about my progress?
    • Your teacher will periodically inform you of your progress in the 4 different areas. At the end of each term you will be given detailed information.
