Everybody has a reason to write an article for Vox Populi. Mine is that I feel this collaboration is the least I can do after three members of the family have 'graduated' here at this school. What subject? Well. Perhaps as it's Springtime they want me to write about love. However, I have decided to go against the grain and write about business, as a homage to my teacher and my young companions in the class.

Congratulations to the few who have been patient to read until here. Yes, I will now get to the point. Anyone can have a good idea. Often, the best ideas come from new ways of looking atold problems. Young people have one thing in common; they know, first hand, what ittakes to find a good job, especially nowadays and in our country.

We had heard complaints from people who'd had bad experiences even having goodprofessional background, titles, languages, and know-how. Companies demand ideas so the most successful schemes are designed to spark the imagination of employeesbecause they want to turn ideas into gold. To find out the secret of success I would like to discuss five points.

1- BE ENTHUSIASTIC

To be successful in their jobs, young people have to be eager to go beyond the callof the duty. All of us are in competitive fields, but we are confident we can offer abetter service to our colleagues and customers.

2- KNOW YOUR LIMITATIONS

You might know a lot, but trying to do everything single-handed is a recipe for disaster. We could say that good advice can often make the difference between success and failure.

3- HAVE A GOOD VIABLE BUSINESS IDEA

You have to try to offer something different: either having a totally new idea or, morecommonly, filling a gap in the existing organisation. Some ideas come from hands-onexperience, others become successful by targeting the production, sales, marketing and so on like a flash but, in general, ideas come when we try hard.

4- BE DETERMINED TO SUCCEED

Tenacity is needed to work very long hours and more important you should believein yourself. Think of this sentence 'never take no for an answer'

5- BE FLEXIBLE AND ADAPTABLE

No business plan, no matter how well constructed can avoid failures that threaten the organisation. To survive a young worker has to cope with change. For those ready to adapt, a recession can open rather than shut a door. As a friend ofmine once told me 'to see the light in people's eyes when they have achieved something and grown in confidence is enormously heartening'. After these five points I would like to believe that other people feel inspired by the success of others. If you have come to the end of these reflections, remember this thought of Confucius 'The greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall'.
